The current campsite is located on 18 beautiful acres on Clemmers Mill Road in Spring Mount PA. More than 500 Children from the age of 7 to 12 years enjoy a wonderful fun filled week at camp. The camping experience includes everything from swimming lessons, boating down the Perkiomen Creek, learning the fine art of archery, using a craft saw to make a wood project, creating arts and craft projects, to making lots of new friends. The highlight of the week is the campfire where the entire camp performs skits and sings those good old campfire songs. Each cabin plans a special skit and all the counselors fill in with a few special performances of their own. It is followed up with good old fashion Smores. What a mess but the children love them. Camp Rainbow is a non-profit organization with a volunteer Board of Directors, who spends the entire year raising the funds to give these deserving kids a great week. Camp WISP (Watson Inclusive Summer Program) - Rose E. Schneider Family YMCAThe Watson Inclusive Summer Program (WISP) is an inclusive therapeutic summer camp program for children with autism and related disorders. WISP is a model inclusive summer program that enables children with autism to be integrated successfully into typical summer camps with their peers. The program operates in multiple sites, providing children with services near their own neighborhoods. The program time and duration vary according to the camp schedule. Typically, a camp program lasts eight weeks, from mid June to early August, and runs from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The program emphasizes teaching social skills within a typical summer camp environment, using capable peers in naturalistic settings. All children in WISP receive intensive intervention emphasizing the development of social skills within a typical summer camp environment, utilizing peer models of appropriate behavior. Some children require one-to-one staffing in order to be successfully included within the summer camp setting, some are able to share specialized staff, and some children require no more than consulting services. Therefore, staffing arrangements are flexible and individualized in accordance with the needs of the child. Since this is an intensive therapeutic program rather than merely a daycare or recreational program, consistent attendance for the duration of the program is important. If the family will be away for an extended period while camp is in session or if a child has recurrent conflicts with the camp hours, Camp WISP may not be an appropriate option.ButlerSummer ProgramsSummer Programs

Dragonfly Forest - Camp ProgramDragonfly Forest is designed for children living with serious illnesses and disorders suffering physically and emotionally not only from coping with the treatments necessary to sustain life, but also from coping with the loss of their childhood. These children spend much of their lives in medical facilities with adults rather than at playgrounds and with other children just being kids. At Dragonfly Forest between morning swims and evening campfires, approximately 120 children become actors on stage, swimmers, artists, athletes, canoe paddlers, stargazers and, most importantly, friends. Our campers experience a magical transformation, as they sing and dance, learn to soar, and develop important friendships that often last a lifetime. At first glance, Dragonfly Forest looks like any other traditional summer camp. There is swimming, boating, fishing, archery, arts and crafts, ropes courses, boating and nature activities. Yet, look more closely and you will find that Dragonfly Forest is specifically designed for children with chronic or life threatening illnesses and disorders and allows them to safely enjoy the activities of a "traditional" camp. Dragonfly Forest is more than a fun-filled getaway. It helps children to better cope with the day-to-day challenges they face. Nestled among hundreds of rolling acres in rural, pristine, Chester County, PA, this unique location provides excitement and adventure for campers in the great outdoors. Between early morning crafts and evening carnivals, children whose lives have been a series of medical procedures and hospital stays are transformed into just "kids." They have a chance to be with others coping with similar illnesses or conditions and realize that they are not alone. Most importantly, the prescription for the day is fun, fun, fun! Laughter, giggles, friendships, excitement, and bursting energy abound throughout our magical forest of tall pines, majestic oaks, nature trails, and a fourteen acre lake. Campers are empowered to do things they never dreamed they could do. They are infused with a spirit of accomplishment at every turn and are allowed to forget that "they have what they have." Dragonfly Forest - Dragonfly AwayDragonfly Away extends te reach of the Dragonfly Forest camp program into Philadelphia area hospitals and rehabs centers. This program serves the kids whose illnesses prevent them from being able to attend summer sessions on the Dragonfly CAMPus. "If the kids can't get to the camp, we'll take the camp to the kids," says Executive Director Fred Weiner. "And because we're big believers in the setting as an important part of the whole camp experience, we will try as best as we can - through creative means - to transform an area of the hospital so to the children it will seem more like camp than hospital." Creative transformation, Dragonfly Forest-style, can mean everything from setting up a small-scale "carnival," to engaging kids in individual camp projects such as wood shop, to "sleeping under the stars" in pop-up tents and sleeping bags. Daily activities will be planned and scheduled for the kids in much the same way they're planned for kids on the Dragonfly CAMPus. The Dragonfly Away Camp structure is flexible to serve the needs of individual children. The program can last three to five days in duration, and are tailored for the bedside for individual kids, a floor of the hospital for groups, or for multiple groups in a hospital.Montgomery*Main Site (Dragonfly Forest)Dragonfly Forest

Kamp for Kids - Summer CampAt Kamp For Kids, we aim to help many different audiences from children at risk to children with Autism, from entire families to just parents, but our organization at its core has one grand problem that we strive to solve. How many times has a boy/girl wanted to go camping but their parents simply did not have enough money to send their child? How many times has a child wanted to go to an event but had no transportation? How often does the entire family get the opportunity to escape the stress of everyday life and enjoy a weekend of quality time together? Kamp For Kids main goal is to help solve the financial and transportation struggle of families that prevent them from doing the things they love to do. There are things in life that every child should get the opportunity of experiencing, and there are things in life every family should be able to do together. Kamp for Kids wants to help make these things possibleBucksKamp for Kids - Bucks CountyKamp for Kids

For our day camp, every Monday and Thursday are park days, Tuesday and Friday are pool days, and Wednesday is our tour day. The last day of day camp, all three groups venture off to spend the day at an amusement park to celebrate the ending of the Summer. We also offer a 5-day overnight camp. All three groups travel to a selected Christian campground and experience life away from the city to help the campers become mentally, emotionally, and spiritually closer to the Lord. The campers will participate in activities including but not limited to bible study, swimming, boating, zip lining, rock climbing, sports and games, hiking, campfire, skit night, etc. This is a great opportunity for campers to discover who they are in Christ and establish a stronger relationship with God.
