|Life Transforming Ministries - New Mornings Reentry Services||New Mornings Reentry Services works with people who are serving time at the Chester County Correctional Center and are returning to the Coatesville area.
Caseworkers work with pre-release and post-release inmates providing a variety of services such as obtaining required ID, coordinating continuity of care upon release including the uninterrupted continuation of health sustaining medications and networking the inmates/previously incarcerated persons into a variety of other essential services.
The Fresh Start course is offered to all inmates but is mandatory for the inmate who chooses to have a mentor as long as the classes are being held during their time of incarceration. |Transitional Housing For Women Leaving Prison - Catherine McAuley Center||In partnership with other agencies, operates a transitional housing program for women leaving prison. The program identifies women from the Lackawanna County Prison who might effectively use this opportunity to change the direction of their lives, and offers alternative housing options and support services for up to one year. The ultimate goal of this program is to empower women to sustain independent living following their release from prison. Services include: group sessions in pre-release phase, intensive case management, assistance in finding safe housing, setting measurable goals with each client, assistance in finding employment and job training, rental assistance up to one year, assistance in moving, procuring furniture and personal supplies, art therapy, linkages to community services, assistance in being reunited with children, and recreational activities. |Transition to Community||Helps to meet the transitional needs of pre and post release male prisoners and their families in order to prepare them for reintegration into the community. Networks with other ministries and organizations and connects clients to resources. Provides pre-release orientation classes to educate sentenced men who are eligible for release.
Also provides post-release services with a continuum of care through case management and supervised transitional housing for men who choose to participate in the program with the objective of a changed lifestyle. Program provides basic housing, Bible study, individual and budget counseling. Occupants must obtain employment.
