Volunteers are needed to assist with the preparation and service of the community meal offering. Also, volunteers are needed to assist interested meal attendees with finding jobs using the classifieds advertisements, assist with transportation, and assist with distributing 2 loaves of bread and a bag of groceries to each individual in attendance.     Manna on Main Street - Soup KitchenOur soup kitchen is open to the public seven days a week. Those who are hungry can eat with friends and neighbors twice a day, with lunch on Sundays. Meals are served restaurant style, allowing guests to rest while volunteers serve from the menu. With our wonderful chef preparing meals, most guests will ask for seconds!     New Life Presbyterian Church - Food CupboardThe Food Cupboard provides for the spiritual and physical needs of our community by sharing food and a time of prayer with those in need. The Food Cupboard opens Monday evenings at 7:00 for members of New Life, Tuesday evenings at 6;15 pm for any residents of greater Glenside, and Thursday afternoons at 2:00 for members in the community who are over 50. You can support the Food Cupboard by picking up and sorting food throughout the week or serving dinner on Tuesday evenings. To volunteer or learn more about how you can help, contact David Douds. We are also currently looking for a volunteer to serve as the director of the Food Cupboard.
