Glenside Bible Church - Nursery SchoolA QUALITY FIRST STEP TO HELP YOUR CHILD’S TOTAL DEVELOPMENT! To integrate Christian truth in all areas of the child’s investigation of God’s world. To use a developmental approach to meet the total needs of your child. To develop readiness in reading, language and math. To establish routines of physical habits, work habits and self discipline. To promote growth through creative expression in art, music and movement. To help your child develop socially by learning to participate in group activities, by sharing and being concerned for others. Our program is a developmentally appropriate play program where children learn in a process oriented environment. They learn to play and they play to learn! Stories, songs, fingerplays and art activities are all part of the daily learning experience. There is a balance between active and quiet activities and indoor and outdoor play. Field trips and visitors to the classroom provide enrichment to the preschool curriculum. Snacks and juice are served each day. Classes are vertically grouped, ages 3-5 combined, under the instruction of a certified teacher and an aide. Individualized instruction is used to meet the unique needs of each child. Classes meet: 3 days per week: Monday/Wednesday/Friday - 9:30 to 12 4 days per week: Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday Schools opens in mid-September and closes in late May. Glenside Bible Church - Pioneer ClubsPioneer Clubs provides proven church-sponsored midweek club programs for today's kids, preschool through middle school. Each of our three programs "the age-specific Pioneer program, the large-group/small-group format Exploring program, or the small-church solution Discovery program" helps boys and girls build healthy relationships with caring Christian adults, peers and most importantly, Jesus Christ. Thousands of churches across North America count on Pioneer Clubs for programs that are Christ-centered, Bible-based, kid-focused and flexible. Pioneer Clubs' tools support your passion for sharing Christ with kids! Learn more about how our programs can help you build children's ministry that transforms lives. Clubs meet each Wednesday evening from late September through mid-May. The regularly scheduled meeting time is from 7:00PM - 8:30PM. Pioneer Clubs brings together dozens of church and neighborhood children for the purpose of encouraging children in knowing God. Club is a place to make friends, have fun, and best of all learn or reinforce that God loves us and He is important in every area of our lives -- school, home, church and play. Awards and Activities Each month each child can earn a Bible Award and an Activity Award. Bible Awards are earned through attendance, class participation and verse memorization. A typical lesson might address the importance of family and members within the family. Activity Awards are such things as learning how to camp, cook, develop film, paint, carpentry skills, bike safety and many other fun things. Each Christmas the Lord gives us a wonderful Christmas missions challenge. The children bring in coins for the purpose of meeting the needs of the hurting. In the Spring a local summer camp, Camp Sankanac, Spring City, PA presents the ministry of camping. Throughout the year, depending on the award being earned, clubbers are able to go hiking, roller blading, overnight camping, just to name a few of the activities.MontgomeryGlenside Bible Church - Montgomery; GlensideGlenside Bible Church
Gloria Dei Church - Preschool Discovery CenterPreschool children are in the beginning stages of faith development. What they learn about God comes largely from their relationship with caring adults. We trust that children will see themselves as unique creations of God and part of a loving Christian family. The focus of our program is on God’s love as seen through the helping, sharing and caring demonstrated by Jesus. Application to life is an integral part of the curriculum. This is accomplished through: - Scripture - using Bible stories - Life - using everyday stories that show children how the principle presented in the Bible story can be lived in their life - Concrete examples - using object lessons, hands on activities and their own personal examples or stories - Curriculum - Intentional weaving of Christian concepts and hands on activities throughout the preschool curriculum Chapel - Weekly visits to the chapel give children the opportunity to be part of a children’s worship experience which includes songs, and age appropriate bible stories and to praise God. (3 & 4 year old CE Programs) GOALS The Gloria Dei Preschool provides each child, regardless of race, gender, ability, special needs, ethnicity, socio-economic standing, or religion, opportunities to: - Develop social skills in a group setting - Develop language skills to enable the child to convey wants, needs and ideas appropriately, expand vocabularies, and respond to and ask good questions. - Develop the ability to observe, compare and describe objects and events. - Develop thought processes that lead to greater understanding, awareness and curiosity through investigation and exploration with a variety of resources in a safe environment. - Recognize and respect the rights, feelings and property of others and understand their place as responsible members of a family and community. - Develop self-confidence in expressing, choosing and initiating behaviors and making decisions, and learn to accept responsibility for those choices in a group setting apart from parents. - Develop good habits in the areas of health, nutrition, safety and hygiene. - Develop physical coordination and motor skills and explore with the five senses. - Experience a variety of visual art, music, drama, dance, literature and creative movement activities and learn to appreciate the expressive arts and cultures of other people, places and times. - Experiment with a variety of tools, manipulatives, and materials for open-ended exploration. - Engage the imagination with rhymes, songs, fingerplays and pretend play. - Develop a greater awareness of the self as a valued individual and competent learner. Visitation Program WHAT is the Visitation Program? It is a service for children placed in out-of-home care. The Goal: The goal is to provide purposeful and frequent visits for children who are placed in out of home care. Through these visits Chester County Department of Children & Youth (D.C.Y.F.) will be better able to assess the family and child's needs leading to either reunification or other permanency plans. The Service Provides: A case manager to arrange visits for children and their families. Convenient locations for visits. Help in making the visit a positive experience for the child and their family. Someone to talk to concerning the visit. WHERE will the visits take place? At locations close to the birth parents (visiting sites are established in West Chester, Coatesville, Oxford and Phoenixville) at a park, recreation center or area that would be good for the child. At the parents' home or the home of their relative. At school. At any location that you, the birth parents and the worker decides appropriate. (The court may place guidelines on where visits can take place). WHEN will the visits take place? The first visit will take place as soon as possible, hopefully within 2 or 3 days of placement. Ongoing visits will take place weekly if at all possible. HOW can this work? With all our best efforts. Positive input, the hard work of the birth parents, you and the Visitation’s Staff at New Life will make visits successful.MontgomeryNew Life Youth and Family Services - Montgomery; SchwenksvilleNew Life Youth and Family Services

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church - Young Adult MinistriesWho are young adults? Young adults are people ages 18-35 in many different stages of life. Young adults are single, in committed relationships, or married, and some have children. Young adults are college students, professional people, and people with all kinds of different backgrounds and experiences. What is young adult ministry? Young Adult Ministry is a relevant, intentional community where young adults can create and nurture relationships, grow spiritually, and serve with purpose. How can I join in? Here are some ways you can get involved: Upcoming Events: DINNER, DRINKS, AND DEVOS! Kick off the year with us! We'll feed our bodies with good food, our spirits with laughter, and our souls with fellowship and Bible Study. All young adults are welcome--come learn what young adult ministry is all about! Join us on Tuesday, September 9, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Applebee's in Lansdale (at Ralph's Corner). BEGINS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16! Starbucks Bible Study, Tuesdays from 5:30-7:00 pm. Meet at Starbucks (884 West Main Street, Lansdale, right up the street from the church) for coffee, fellowship, and discussion. Bring your Bible! Young adult service opportunities: Appalachia Service Project (ASP) works with lower-income families in Appalachia to make their homes warmer, safer, and drier. This will be Trinity's 24th year participating in ASP. Applications will be available in January 2009. Go to our website at www.trinitylansdale.com for more information and to access an application. Habitat for Humanity: Young adults volunteer with Habitat for Humanity periodically throughout the year. Contact Rebecca Kolowé for information about our next work day. Saving Graces: Travel to the Gulf Coast to do Hurricane Katrina relief. Groups from Trinity travel to the Gulf several times each year. Contact John Kunes, Trinity's Director for Lay Ministry, for more information. There is also a community for you online! Visit Rebecca's blog at kolowe1.blogspot.com!
