Instead of counseling or therapy, we provide peer support. Children and teens are placed in age appropriate groups, 3-5 year olds, 6-10 year olds, 11-13 year olds, and teens (14-17 years old) that meet every other week. The participants come together for 1 to 1 1/2 hours in the "talking circle" to share, to play games, and do creative, hands-on, activities. Parents or adult caregivers also participate in support groups to discuss concerns about raising children and teens in grief, and to share their own experience of grief.
We also offer a monthly Young Adult group for 18-25 year-olds.
Groups are facilitated by Master's level staff and trained volunteer grief facilitators.||Delaware||Peter's Place - Delaware; Radnor||Peter's Place|
