Children's Crisis Treatment Center - Community Based ServicesCcTC's Community Based Services provide services to children and their families by assisting them in learning to achieve success with the natural resources that are available to them within their communities: - Behavioral Health RehabilitationServices (BHRS) - CcTC's BHRS program provides emotional and rehabilitative support for children. This service places support into the child's community, school and home by providing individualized Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS) Services, Mobile Therapy (MT), Behavioral Specialist Consultation (BSC) and Care Coordination Services. - Intensive Care Management - program provides direct services to children who display serious emotional challenges. ICM works to ensure that children and their families utilize natural supports as well as traditional and non-traditional community resources to develop appropriate relationships with family and caregivers. Services include assessment and evaluation of medical; family and educational history; support network and resource building for the child and family; and child and system advocacy. - Summer Therapeutic Enrichment Program (STEP) - therapeutic/recreational summer camp for children. The camp provides children with a safe environment where they can develop and practice needed social skills while school is not in session during the summer months. Most of the children have been denied access to other summer camps due to behavioral and emotional difficulties in the past. In STEP, all children successfully complete the summer-long program, learn valuable skills and explore community options. Most importantly, they have the opportunity to enjoy childhood activities as others do while receiving art, dance/movement and recreational therapies. - Family-Based Program - offers team-delivered services rendered in the home and community. These short-term, intensive services are designed to integrate behavioral health treatment, family support services and routine care coordination services. By taking this approach, the program aims to enable families to continue to care for their children with serious emotional disturbances at home and therefore reducing the need for out of home placement.PhiladelphiaChildren's Crisis Treatment Center Philadelphia; FishtownChildren's Crisis Treatment Center

Streamside’s Nature Center provides a controlled environment that allows campers a safe and hands-on experience with critters of all kinds. From exotic frogs, turtles, and snakes, to raccoons, ‘possum, and perhaps even an alligator, each camper will be able to experience God’s creation up close and personal. Come be amazed by God’s incredible design for this world! God has revealed Himself to us not only through the world around us, but also through His Word, the Bible. In our morning Bible classes and evening Vespers, we employ puppets, drama, songs, and guest teachers to help each camper learn more about God and how much He cares for them. To lead the way, a diverse staff of mature believers come from all over the world representing many backgrounds and cultures. Our common desire is for campers to begin an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and to commit to living transformed lives. We believe it is essential to have a well-trained staff who are attentive to the needs and safety of each camper. Our staff and volunteers must complete an extensive application process along with background screening before serving at Streamside. Certified medical personnel and lifeguards are always on duty and secondary accident insurance is carried for all campers. With several camp dates to choose from, there is no need for anyone to miss out on a great time this summer. Each one is designed around a theme to ensure that if your child comes for one week or the entire summer, they will have a great time. Each camper is placed in a group of ten to twelve, organized by grade. Campers will participate in a variety of activities including sports, nature and a variety of adventure activities that may include archery, canoeing, fishing, rock climbing and more. The Day Camp is built around the core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enthusiasm and Kindness, or TREK. Pathfinders Wilderness Adventure CampPathfinders is a 8-day backpacking, camping and canoeing adventure for those who are looking for an extreme summer camp experience. More than a wilderness trip, Pathfinders is designed to challenge you physically and spiritually. Your adventure begins with a time of preparation instructed by our experienced Pathfinders Guides. During this time, you will be lead through the process of packing everything your Pathfinders team will need to survive for six days in the wilderness. This training will also include proper canoeing techniques to ensure a fun and SAFE trip. The first part of your adventure will be hiking on the Appalachian Trail through Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Mid-week, you will drop the packs and canoe (and swim) down the picturesque Delaware River for the remaining three days. Along the way, your Pathfinders team will enjoy the peace and beauty of God’s creation, sleep under the stars at night, eat meals prepared over a campfire, and see wildlife in its natural environment. Each day your Guide will challenge you with a devotional from the Word of God. You will be encouraged to rise above the mediocre and win battles on the trail, river, and within yourself that you never thought you could overcome. Are you up to the challenge? Variety Club Camp and Developmental Center offers a Day Camp for children with developmental disabilities and an Overnight Camp for children with physical and/or developmental disabilities. For children looking for some educational assistance we offer our Extended School Year Program, and for older youth looking for job development, we offer a newly designed Vocational Program. Vocational Programs Transition age children (ages 16-20) with developmental disabilities can apply for these programs. Some School districts may fund the programs as an ESY option based on IEP approval. All programs are eight week programs running 6/20 to 8/12/2011. Students must participate in all 8 weeks. Introductory Vocational Program The Introductory Vocational Program is limited to 15 students. There is a 2:5 staff/student ratio. Students participate in camp operations / camp snack bar and store/ lunch preparation in two week rotations as part of three different work crews. Program concentrated on three areas: 1) Skills acquisition- Each person according to their abilities. Related skills include staying on task, task completion, speed and accuracy of task. 2) "Soft Skills"- work related skills that often contribute to students losing jobs in the community. 3) Leadership abilities/potential Curriculum Skills Program The mission of the Curriculum Courses is to increase knowledge and skills so that students are more marketable at the time of graduation in areas of their interest. One curriculum based course is being offered this year. Vocational Cooking Skills Curriculum Content Outline: Introduction to cooking terms and techniques Safety Rules Food Safety Measurement Skills Herbs / Spices Stock / Soups Meats Fruits and Vegetables Grains and Pasta Food Service Professions Field trips will be taken to local supermarkets, food service and catering services for the students to observe first hand operations where they might want to be employed in the future. Students will sell their prepared foods weekly at the end of the camp day on Thursdays- weeks 2-8. Jobs-at-camp Program The Jobs-At-Camp Program is designed to provide actual vocational experience doing necessary work at the camp in the summer so that students are more marketable at the time of graduation. A job coach is provided. Priority is given to students who have successfully completed the Introductory Vocational Program. A stipend is paid to the worker. Jobs include: dishwasher, dining hall assistant, housekeeping assistant, snack bar/camp store assistant manager. Applications are currently being accepted for Summer 2013. Acceptance is conditional upon a student interview, and funding approval by the School District and/or deposit. Due to the popularity of these programs, space cannot be saved. Summer Day Camp The Camp offers eight 1-week sessions for individuals between the ages of 5 and 21 with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Day Camp operates Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Before and after care is available for additional fee.. Activities include arts & crafts, aquatics, field games, music, life skills, ceramics, nature, greenhouse, and sports. Campers are grouped into age appropriate teams of 8-12 children with 4-7 counselors per team. Siblings and other children without disabilities (ages 4-10) are also invited to attend camp. Overnight Camps Overnight Camp for Campers with Physical and Developmental Disabilities We are offering six one-week camping sessions beginning June 23 2013. The one-week sessions begin on a Sunday and run through the next Saturday - 7 days and 6 overnights of Camp fun! 2013 Camp tuition is $750 per week. Here are some highlights of the summer 2013 program: All sessions will include campers with special needs ages 7-21 years - campers ages 18-21 need to be enrolled in an educational program in a public or parochial school system to be eligible for camp. Campers are grouped in cabins according to age and functioning level, and programs are also geared to the ability of the individual camper. Each session will have a maximum of 30 campers, and a 1:3 staff ratio will be in place. Some campers will require a 1:2 staff ratio that may be arranged at Variety Club Camp! Two of our camping sessions will accept children and young adults with physical disabilities (like cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy and others) AND/OR developmental delays (like autism, Down Syndrome, mental retardation and other developmental disabilities). These sessions allow for more camping options for families, and brings together groups of children for a fun camping experience that Variety Club Camp has been offering for over 50 years! These sessions are called "PD/DD" on the attached application. We have three distinct sessions for campers with developmental delays - these are children and young adults with diagnoses like autism, Down Syndrome, ID and other developmental disabilities. These campers are usually able to walk, and often need assistance with other care and behavioral needs. Variety Club Camp offered overnight camping for these children and young adults in the summer of 2008 for the first time, and it was a big success! These sessions are called "DD" on the attached application. We have one unique session this season for campers with physical disabilities like cerebral palsy, spina bifida and muscular dystrophy that have a high level of functioning and social skills. This session is called “PD” on the attached application. MontgomeryVariety Club Camp and Developmental CenterVariety-The Children's Charity
