Senior Health Specialist Program: Registered Nurses provide Health Specialist services to community based programs for seniors. Services include health check-ups, health screenings such as blood pressure screening and health counseling, specific disease management education, nutrition teaching, and medication review. The program includes valuable communication with the senior’s family. VNA caregivers are supervised and trained by registered nurses. They are employees of the VNA. All necessary employment taxes and insurances are covered by the agency. Each Home Care Aide is screened for drugs, alcohol, and background criminal activity.
