Angel Tree Program Applications Salvation Army of Scranton2019 The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program provides new clothing and/or toys for children (up to age 12 years) of needy families. Also provides a Christmas food basket. Applications will also be accepted from single people and families without children or children older then 12 years that may need food for Christmas. Program helps families who live in Scranton, Dickson City, Dunmore, Moosic, Old Forge, Taylor and Throop. Dates to walk in to fill out an application. MAKE UP DAY - ONLY ONE DAY - LAST DAY TO SIGN UP THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH, 2019 - 9am-12pm and 5-7 pm Must bring the following documents when you apply: 1. Proof of all monthly income (including food stamps). 2. Proof of all monthly expenses (including rent/mortgage receipt or lease agreement). 3. Social Security cards for everyone in the household (including all adults and children over the age 12 years). 4. Birth Certificates for each child in the household. 5. Photo identification for each adult in the household. 6. Clothing/shoe size and suggested toy for each child (0-12 years) in the household. Initial sign up dates where held on Friday October 11 and Saturday, October 12th, 2019. Angel Tree Program Salvation Army of ScrantonThe Salvation Army's Angel Tree program provides new clothing and/or toys for children of needy families. Each Angel Tree is decorated with numbered paper angel tags with the first name, age, and gender of a child who is in need of a gift. Contributors remove one or more tags from the tree and purchase appropriate gifts for the child or children described on the tags. Companies, businesses, schools, and other groups agree to have an Angel Tree to benefit The Salvation Army. Each location (business, school, etc.) provides a Christmas tree in which to hang the Angel Tree tags. The tags provide information as to gender, wish, and age. Tags are taken and gifts are donated unwrapped with each Angel Tag attached to the gift. Please call for information on participating in the Angel Tree Program. Individuals/Families can also Adopt a Child or Adopt a family to provide Christmas gifts to child/family in need. Bountiful Blessings Easter Program - Susquehanna County InterfaithPartners with Weinberg Food Bank and local food pantries to provide an Easter dinner for families who are struggling. Families will be referred to either the Montrose Mobile Pantry or to the Great Bend Mobile Pantry to participate in the Bountiful Blessings program. Christmas Baskets and Toys - American Rescue WorkersProvides low-income families with Toys and food for their Christmas meal. Christmas Food Box The New Love Center Food Pantry Jersey ShoreProvides a Christmas Food Box to those who are registered with the food pantry program. Must be registered as regular food pantry recipient to be eligible for this holiday distributions. Food Pantry Feeding Families Ministry, Inc.Food pantry service as well as holiday outreach programs, warm clothing for winter, and homeless outreach ministry. Feeding Families Ministry strives to alleviate hunger in Monroe, Pike and Wayne counties. Provides free food to needy individuals who do not qualify for state funded food programming, have recently lost their jobs, are in need due to life emergencies or are underemployed. Hazleton Thanksgiving Food Distribution Commission on Economic Opportunity HazletonAnnual Thanksgiving Food Distribution Program.
