    Programs that provide a variety of supportive services for victims of crimes and their families which may include general emotional support, crisis counseling, information about police investigative procedures, liaison to police personnel, assistance in completing and filing applications for reimbursement of crime-related expenses or losses, information about the mechanics of court proceedings, advice concerning court appearances, court accompaniment services, assistance in preparing victim impact statements and referrals for other needed services such as medical treatment, shelter away from home, transportation, child care, financial assistance and protective services.

    Clearfield County Victim Witness ProgramProvides information and assistance to victims and witnesses of crime. Offers specialized services to families of homicide by vehicle and murder victim families, including a support group. Victim's Compensation Program: for victuims of a personal injury crime. It can help pay doctor bills, hospital bills, lost earnings, costs of wheelchairs and mileage to doctor's appointments. In homicide cases where the victim had no insurance, it can help pay for the funeral. People may be eligible for compensation even if an arrest is not made; they must have filed a police report.     Crime Victims Council of the Lehigh ValleyProviding nonjudgmental support and services to victims of all violence including sexual assault, their families and significant others. Groups offered include a rape survivors group, children's support group, pre-adolescent group, teen support group, parents of sexually abused children support group, adult survivor of childhood sexual abuse group, male survivor's group and a homicide survivors group. Other services include trained counselors who can accompany victims of violence to the emergency room, police departments or to court. Individual and support group counseling are available.
