General Information
Description of Service
Certified Peer Specialists provide support and assistance with coordination of care, advocacy and community resources, while providing the empathy, understanding and support form someone with a lived experience who is in recovery themselves. The goal is to provide additional encouragement by assisting those receiving this service to live as independently as possible within their natural community setting, while delivering a non-traditional form of care through recovery orientation from a lived experience and perspective.

Eligibility
Person should be 18 years of age or older, have a presence or history of mental illness and would like to receive support and/or additional support from a person in recovery.
