Programs and Services of Multiple Sclerosis Service Society (MSSS) include:
Muliple Sclerosis Exercise and Support Program (MSES) Under a doctor’s direction, MSES staff provide instructional range of motion exercises, equipment, and assistive living device evaluations, and emotional support in the home. The staff also educate clients about adaptive and durable medical equipment, a home exercise program, and safety concerns. Services are available Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Durable Medical Equipment and Supplies The MSSS is a full service provider of medical equipment and supplies. This includes sales, services, and rentals with free delivery in your area. Participants discuss their needs with experienced staff who recommend medical equipment and supplies.
Information And Referral This program is designed to help individuals in making the necessary emotional, social, and economic adjustments to their lifestyle. The MSSS offers community education through Information and Referral. View some of the Helpful Links.
Social And Recreational Activities The MSSS helps to fund ten social clubs/support groups throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. Most clubs meet monthly and plan various activities throughout the year. Download the most recent schedule for the Support/Social Clubs here.
Community Education Key staff members are available for public speaking engagements to educate the community about MS and its implication as well as the services offered through MSSS. A newsletter, “The Voice” is done three times per year from CLASS to highlight clients, programs and upcoming events for all programs and divisions of CLASS.
Lending Library Informative articles are mailed and recent books and videos on MS may be borrowed from the MSSS office.
