Description of Service
Project Lifesaver helps provide rapid response to save lives and reduce the potential for serious injury for adults and children who wander due to Alzheimer's disease, Autism, Down Syndrome, dementia and other related disorders.
People who are part of the program wear a personalized wristband that emits a tracking signal. If the person wanders off, the caregiver notifies the Project Lifesaver agency and a search and rescue team responds to the wanderer's area and starts searching with a mobile locator tracking system. Search times have been reduced from hours and days to just minutes
If you are interested in enrolling a friend or loved one on the program, and you know of a Project Lifesaver agency in your area, please call them directly as they will have the most up-to-date pricing information and local contacts to help get you started and enroll your loved one on the program. If you are interested in enrolling and do NOT know of a Project Lifesaver agency in your area, you can go to our website and click on “Where we are at” and you can search by zip code and agency name.
