Description of Service
Provides funding of treatment for clients who do not have insurance or the ability to pay for their drug and/or alcohol treatment. Types of treatment include: outpatient, residential rehabilitation, intensive outpatient, detoxification services, methadone maintenance, suboxone and halfway house. Also assists clients in accessing some gambling addiction treatment if needed. Case managers are assigned to some clients.
In addition to funding treatment services, the Commission's Prevention Unit provides the following services to local school districts, human service agencies and community groups:
- Technical assistance and funding for workshops, teacher in-service training, and community education/awareness programs
- A school curriculum for preschool through high school students
