Description of Service
The health bureau's three main functions are to assess and monitor the population's health status, develop public policies to maintain and promote health and assure that the population has access to public health services. Clinics provide immunizations, STD/HIV testing, pregnancy testing, screening for prostate and breast cancer and monitoring of chronic diseases.Lead screenings provided in certain situations, not by the clinic. Clinic Hours: Mon – 2-4 p.m; Tues – 1-5 p.m.; Wed – varies; Thurs – 2-4 p.m.; Fri – 1:30-4 p.m. Mondays: TB Testing (hours: 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.) - must live within the Allentown city limits; $5.00 cash fee.
Tuesdays: STD/HIV Testing (hours: 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.) – no residency restrictions; FREE.
Wednesdays: Children’s immunizations (hours vary – appointment required) – must live within the Allentown city limits and be on Medicaid or have NO insurance. FREE.
Thursdays: STD/HIV testing & Early Pregnancy Testing (hours: 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.) – no residency restrictions. FREE.
Fridays: Adult Immunizations (hours: 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.) – must live within the Allentown city limits. FREE
