General Information
Description of ServiceAgrAbility provides direct services for farmers and farm family members with a disability or long-term health condition who want to remain in production agriculture. Services include on site assessment of needs, identification of appropriate modifications, equipment or assistive technology and referral to state and local resources. Many farmers with a disability are referred to the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) which works with individuals on employment issues such as training, evaluation, assistive technology, and modifications.

AgrAbility also participates in a wide variety of educational programs such as farm safety day camps, presentations to health care and rehabilitation professionals, county crop and dairy days, and statewide agricultural expositions.

AgrAbility for Pennsylvanians Project is supported under USDA-NIFA Special Projects 2017-41590-27105 in collaboration with Penn State Extension. AgrAbility PA is a statewide partnership with the Penn State Extension, Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry-OVR and UCP Central PA.
