Description of Service
Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) is a strengths-based voluntary process which recognizes that a family itself is the best judge of how to meet its members’ needs. FGDM offers families the opportunity to join together with other people who are important in their lives, to develop a plan to resolve identified concerns. Families who enter into FGDM are guided by a Coordinator.
The process of FGDM begins with a self referral or referral from a social worker, teacher, counselor, case-manager, or other agency worker.
Referral from a social worker, teacher, counselor, case-manager, or other agency worker. A family may also self refer.
