General Information
Description of ServiceA comprehensive program to prevent teen suicide. Provides identification, referral, outpatient assessment and treatment, and parent education. Educates school personnel and mental health professionals. Offers grief group treatment for bereaved children and adolescents, and adult survivors of suicide. Their monthly Normal Teenage Behavior and Depression workshop discusses strategies for coping with teenage depression as well as causes and treatments and how it affects the family. The STAR Center is a program of Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic.
