Description of Service
Emergency shelter for families who have become homeless. A family is defined as any male or female, singular or coupled, with a child under age 18 years in their household or those who are pregnant. No singles, male or female, without children/pregnancy are accepted. Provide food, shelter, and individualized case management services to families that have lost their homes. Able to take in up to 4 families (14 beds available). Families are provided shelter at local congregations in evening and provided transportation to the day center during day hours. Meals are served at day center and families have access to showers and are able to do laundry. Day Center services might include:

Case managers work one-on-one with each family to determine their individual goals and help them with referrals to other local agencies that can assist. Services are available for 4 to 6 months.
Referrals accepted from coordinated entry, local social services, and self-referrals.
Initial phone screening; in-person interview with case manager; 24-hour wait once accepted.
They serve pregnant women, a couple where the female is pregnant, families of any kind with children in at least partial custody, people who have custody of non biological children but can prove the child is legally in their custody-aunts, grandparents, ect., single parents of both sexes. They do not serve singles without children or who are not pregnant.

Regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm
