Salvation Army will assist individuals in regards to their West Penn Power electric bill, or Chambersburg Borough utility bill provided that they meet all eligibility requirements.
Franklin County - Must reside in the following zip codes: Chambersburg (17201, 17202), St Thomas (17252), Scotland (17254) and Fayetteville (17222).
Individual must have a 10-day disconnection notice or Pink slip and Project Heat voucher if they are a Borough Customer, they are required to call for an appointment, as well as complete an application for the service that they are requesting help with.
Completed application, proof of all household income, photo identification for the account holder, knowledge of household expenses.
For assistance with Borough utilities, the account holder must visit the Borough Office at 100 South Second Street and obtain a "Project Heat voucher" from the customer service desk prior to you scheduling an appointment.
Those who have received a shut off notice for their electric or Chambersburg Borough Utility service.
Income at or below 150% of the poverty level.
