Salvation Army will assist individuals in regards to their West Penn Power electric bill, or Chambersburg Borough electric bill provided that they meet all eligibility requirements.
Franklin County - Must reside in the following zip codes: Chambersburg (17201, 17202), St Thomas (17252), Scotland (17254) and Fayetteville (17222).
Individuals are required to call for an appointment, as well as complete an application for the service that they are requesting help with.
Completed application, proof of income, photo identification for all adults in the household, other household expenses, copy of signed lease/rental agreement, or Letter of Intent to Rent, shut off notice or eviction notice.
Individuals should also first apply for Emergency Shelter Funds through the County Assistance Office, before seeking the assistance for rent when it comes to eviction.
For assistance with borough utilities, you must visit the Borough Office at 100 South Second Street and obtain a "UTILITIES VOUCHER" from the customer service desk prior to your interview for services.
Those who have received an eviction notice from their home or a shut off notice for their electric service.
