Description of Service
A PFA order is a civil court petition designed to place restrictions on an abuser, such as a prohibition of any contact, and penalize them for violations with fines, probation or jail time. A person can file a "no hit" PFA, which would levy penalties if the abuser harasses, threatens, or touches them, or a full "no contact" PFA that restricts any contact whatsoever.

Those who can file a PFA are limited to spouses and ex-spouses, parents and children, persons related by blood or marriage, current or former sexual or intimate partners, and same-sex couples.
