Description of Service
Provides pregnant and parenting teens support that is needed to overcome barriers to attendance while obtaining a high school diploma or GED.
Some of the services
include: parenting groups, assistance with bus tickets to appointments, referral for in-home providers to help prepare home for child, assistance with completing housing and job applications, and other supports according to the needs of the student. Students will earn Baby Bucks to purchase diapers, wipes, and other items needed for themselves and their child while participating in ELECT activities. Provides transitional services for up to 120 days for students who have graduated, or successfully completed an education program. The Transition Program is available to further aid with employment, and/or exploring post-secondary education options, housing, child care, etc.
