Description of Service
The SNAP Consumer Community Service Coalition is an online listing of volunteer projects at non-profits throughout Southwestern PA that may be suitable for food stamp (SNAP) recipients who are required to find a service project in order to maintain their benefits. Effective March 2016, Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWDs) are required to complete service hours each month in order to maintain their food stamp (SNAP) benefits, unless they work 20 hours per week, have a short-term disability as verified by a doctor, reside in a high-unemployment municipality, or have another good cause waiver.
