General Information
Description of Service
Early Intervention (EI) consists of services and supports designed to help families with children who have developmental delays. While all children grow and change at their own rate, some children can experience delays in their development. Sometimes this can be cause for concern. At Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12, a diagnostic preschool evaluation team is available to provide evaluations for your child.
Evaluation offered are for: Cognitive (thinking and understanding), Speech Language, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Audiology, and educational Hearing and Visual Functioning Mobility (not medical testing) From these evaluations, the appropriate special education services can be provided to help your child grow and develop.

Call to complete an intake. Once intake is complete, evaluations can be scheduled for the child.

Franklin county students, aged 3-21, with special education needs.
Grievance Process
Families would follow the process listed in the Early Intervention Procedural Safeguards which are given at the time of the evaluation.
