Description of Service
Provides Christmas and Thanksgiving food baskets. Clothing provided through the Angel Tree Program. Toys and gifts for children ages 12 and younger through the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program.

Must complete an application. Registration dates for 2019 Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance are Tuesday, October 8,Wednesday, October 9, and Thursday, October 10, NO MAKE UP DATE.
2019 Thanksgiving & Christmas Assistance for Food Baskets and Angel Tree/Toys for Tots Registration Dates are as follow: Tuesday, October 8th 10am - 4 pm Wednesday, October 9th 10am - 4pm Thursday, October 10th 12pm - 6pm NO MAKE UP DATE. Residents of Tamaqua Area & Panther Valley School District are eligible. Must provide the following documentation at registration: If you do not have documentation with you, YOU WILL NOT be able to sign up.*PROOF OF RESIDENCE - Tamaqua or Panther Valley Area School Districts. Photo ID, Updated address card.* PROOF OF ALL HOUSEHOLD INCOME - Public Assistance, Social Security, Wages, Disability, Child Support, Food Stamps, Utility Allowance (HUD) and any other income, etc. of all residents living in house.* PROOF OF EXPENSES - Rent(lease)/Mortgage, electric, water, sewer, trash, heat (oil, propane, coal), medical, car and health insurance, car payments, credit cards, cable, internet, phone, cell phone, child support, and any other monthly bills.* PHOTO ID AT TIME OF PICKUP - If unable to pick up items yourself, the person picking up for you must have a signed letter from you, along with your photo ID and their photo ID. * APPLICANT'S PHOTO ID & SOCIAL SECURITY CARDS FOR EVERYONE LIVING IN THE HOUSEHOLD (NO EXCEPTIONS)Applicants must provide a working phone number.*Angel Tree Applicants must have official birth certificates for every child, 12 years and under, no copies, no exceptions. Child must be age 12 or younger Birth date must be between January 1, 2007 - December 31, 2019. Applications for official birth certificates are available at your local State Representative's Office for a fee of approximately $20.00, State Representative Jerry Knowles Office, 237 West Broad Street, Tamaqua 570-668-1240. If you are registering for Angel Tree Gifts for your child or children, remember to bring their sizes for: shirt, pants, shoes, etc. Determine their immediate needs. Find out their favorite color, favorite cartoon characters, and affordable toy options. Please no high-priced, high tech items, such as video games. Distribution dates are as follows:* THANKSGIVING FOOD BASKET DISTRIBUTION - Monday, November 25th between 12:00pm and 6:00pm.* FREE IN HOUSE THANKSGIVING DINNER - Thursday, November 28th from 11:00am to 4:00pm. (Shut-ins, please call a week prior to Thanksgiving for delivery service.* CHRISTMAS FOOD AND ANGEL TREE DISTRIBUTION - Wednesday, December 18th from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. ***Angel trees/Toys for Tots will not be available for pickup on any other date.***
Please do not bring any children to either registration of distribution.

October 8th, 9th, and 10th
Time: 10 am to 6 pm
Thanksgiving Distribution will be from 9am to 2pm November 21st.
Christmas Distribution will be from 9am to 2pm December 20th.
