Description of Service
High school students are prepared to enter and succeed in college and then linked to a career after college. During the school year, B2C works with high school students from Monday – Thursday after school to increase their academic proficiency, particularly in English and Math, and to teach college-going attitudes and behaviors. B2C also helps students research and apply for college. For those students who are currently in college, B2C links those students with mentors both in the HCV and on the college campus. B2C also links students from Homewood on the college campus to create a community of students who can serve as a support to each other.
In the summer, B2C offers a six-week summer program to continue preparing students for academic success in their high school courses and for entry into college.
Student should either live, go to school, go to church or conduct social activities (e.g., sports) in Homewood.
Open to all high school students living in the 15208 zip code.
