Description of Service
Dedicated to improving the health of individuals throughout South Central Pennsylvania with a special emphasis on meeting the needs of members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, individuals impacted by HIV/AIDS and those struggling with addiction in the South Central Pennsylvania region.
The Harrisburg location provides residents of the community with:
- Primary Medical Care/Family Medicine
- Mental Health Counseling Services
- Psychiatric Services
- HIV Support Services and Prevention Programming
- STD Screening and Treatment
- HIV Testing
- Health and Wellness Programs, Activities and Workshops
- Family Planning Services
- Cervical, breast and chest screenings
Alder Health Services improves the health and well-being of individuals living with HIV/AIDS and members of the LGBTQ+ Community by providing a culturally competent and affirming environment that empowers the people we serve.
By providing high quality case management and supports, health and wellness education, and physical and mental health services, Alder Health Services strives to: Reduce the rate of HIV infection, ensure access to person-centered care, and foster a healthy and informed community. The agency empowers individuals through professional, confidential services that are inclusive of all communities.
Accepts many insurance options for medical and mental health services. Mental health services are available on a sliding fee discount program for individuals who are uninsured. All HIV-related services are provided at no cost to the participants.

Types of Fees
All HIV related support services and prevention programs are offered at no-cost to the participants
Accepts numerous insurance plans for medical and mental health services however no insurance is necessary to access services. Uninsured individuals may utilize the Agency's sliding fee discount program to make mental health services affordable.
Hours of Operation
Primary care, mental health, HIV/AIDS services and prevention, family planning and cervical/breast/chest exams: Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm; free STD and HIV screenings: Every Wednesday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm
