Description of Service
The educational program is based on a diagnostic/prescriptive, student-centered approach. The School provides a continuum of learning environments to meet each student's behavioral, emotional, and social needs as well as his or her cognitivie abilities. Classroom settings range from primarily self-contained to departmentalized instruction. Each classroom strives to meet the needs of the individual student and the class as a whole. In additional to our career education and life-skills program, Pathway's traditional academic program offers courses in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Creative Arts, Physical Education, Health, Library Science and Computer education. Additional services may include Speech/Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Reading Therapy, Transition Assitance and Behavior Support. These professionals will focus on specific skill development in a comprehensive and integrated manner based on goals identified in the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
