Description of Service
CHOICE Hotlines (Serving Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties):
The CHOICE Hotline helps thousands of callers each year make informed personal decisions about their sexual and reproductive health care needs. CHOICE Counselors provide education, counseling, and referrals to people who are often in crisis when they call and require immediate, accurate, and unbiased health care information. In addition to providing education and information, Hotline Counselors solicit consumer feedback and work with health care providers to improve client services. Most of CHOICE's services are delivered over confidential, bilingual (Spanish/English and other languages through a translation service) telephone hotlines which are staffed by trained, professional counselors.
The Blueprint for a Safer Philadelphia Hotline:
A 10-year community-based violence prevention program designed to eliminate youth homicides in Philadelphia. The Blueprint Hotline serves as a clearinghouse to link parents and teens to educational and family support services, connect individuals to volunteer opportunities, and engage community organizations to work with one another to combat youth violence in the city.
The Maternal, Child, and Family Health Line:
Provides comprehensive information, counseling, education, referrals, and advocacy regarding pregnancy, prenatal care, and children's primary medical care including immunizations.
