| Description of Service | ESL/Civics is a program for adults learning to listen, speak, read and write in English. Participants also learn about U.S. civics, practice conversational English, and learn everyday skills needed to function successfully in the U.S. The structure of the class is a small group with discussions, speakers, and some computer learning. ESL students progressing in their mastery of English may transition to an Adult Basic Education class if desired. ESL students receive assistance with U.S. citizenship preparation if desired. |
