Description of Service
Provides a variety of suicide prevention training programs to various potential "gatekeepers", those who are strategically positioned to recognize and refer someone for help. Gatekeepers, who include neighbors, ministers, police, teachers and others, receive QPR Gatekeeper Training, three simple steps for suicide prevention (Question, Persuade, and Refer). People trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, to offer hope and to refer someone to help.
Other prevention training programs are also available.
