General Information
Description of ServiceAllegheny County is offering 29 basketball mini-camps in 11 communities throughout the county this summer for youngsters ages 6-18. The mini-camps are FREE thanks to a grant secured by the Allegheny County Department of Economic Development. Participants will learn basketball skills from coaches & players with experience in the NBA, NCAA & WPIAL.

The mini-camps take place Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m., at the locations listed below. There is no mini-camp on Independence Day. In case of inclement weather, call (412) 350-2455 to confirm if a mini-camp is taking place. For further information, contact the Parks Department at (412) 350-2455.

Intake ProcedureA free box lunch will be provided at 12:00 noon by the Allegheny County Department of Human Services through its SummerFood Program. Pre-registration is not required. However, to guarantee a child's lunch, RSVP to hometownhoops@alleghenycounty.us or (412) 350-2455 at least 24 hours in advance of the mini-camp the child plans to attend.
