Description of Service
The Pennsylvania Department of Aging makes available, to persons 60 years of age and older a wide variety of programs to help them transition through the changes that come with the passing years. The Department’s local resources, or Area Agencies on Aging, provide support and services to enable older adults to continue to live in their homes and communities. Services may include adult daily living centers, home environment modifications, in-home delivered meals, respite care, medical supplies and equipment, personal emergency response system, personal care, physical, occupational and speech therapy, transportation, caregiver support, and long-term services and supports through community health choices.
Beaver county residents age 60 years and older may utili Beaver County Transit Authorities' DART system. This is a demand and response transportation system offering door-to-door service for passengers. Reservations must be made in advance by calling BCTA. There is a co-pay for every trip.
