Description of Service
This is a summer program for students with autism that emphasizes the development of social and pragmatic language skills as well as anger and stress management activities in a fun and engaging format. Academic modules in reading, writing, and math will be provided daily, as well as interactive science, music, or crafts. Students who are 14 and older will be working on pre-vocational skills in one of three careers: retail, culinary, and horticulture, as well as practicing life skills including budgeting and meal planning and preparation. Daily behavior support and autism consultation is also included, as well as fine motor activities to assist with occupational therapy goals.
Pre-enrollment is required by parent or guardian and school district. This provider is willing to implement an IEP developed in another program.
