Description of Service
New Story is a private licensed academic school that provides special education and behavioral health services to children up to age 21 who have been diagnosed with autism or emotional/behavioral disorders. Their multidisciplinary teams collaborate with families, school districts and community partners to empower children in overcoming challenges and creating new stories for their lives.
Transportation is provided by school districts
The student's LEA (local education agency) will contact New Story with a referral and New Story will then begin the intake process. First, New Story will conduct a tour with the family. Second, New Story will review the Individual Education Plan (IEP),
An agreement between New Story and the LEA must be established regarding payment of tuition and services. Also, parents need to complete the New Story intake registration documentation.
Mental Health Concerns
Any student identified for special education services (emotional support) and between the ages of 5 and 21.

The LEA is responsible for the payment of all fees (in this case tuition, related services and transportation) associated with the education of the student. County Contracted

Students present: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 2:30pm; Staff present: Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm
