Description of Service
A service that receives, investigates and resolves consumer complaints made by or on behalf of older residents of nursing homes, personal care homes, domiciliary care homes and home health care agencies. The individual or family member should first discuss the concern with the administrator of the facility or service in question. If there is no satisfactory resolution, ombudsman services will work towards a resolution or refer to higher regulatory authorities.
