General Information
Description of Service
Drug, Alcohol, Tobacco, and problem gambling prevention. Including:
*Information Dissemination about drugs and alcohol, a resource center, information booths at activities, educational presentations and programs.
*Alternative Activities and events for youth and the community
*Problem Identification and Referral: Student Assistance Program (SAP)- liaison in every school district attending core team meetings, providing assessment and referrals and prevention activities. Provide interrupted program educational intervention for at-risk youth.
*Community Based: Attending community meetings, coalition building and agency collaboration.
*Environmental: Providing strategies that affect the policies, norms, beliefs and practices of our county as it pertains to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and problem gambling prevention.
*Education: Providing educational services for reduction of substance use/abuse, using evidence based programs.
