Description of Service
Provide support to assist persons who have intellectual and developmental disabilites (and their families) access services within the MH/MR System and the community. Often requested services are in the areas of educational issues consisting of trainsitioning services, IEP assistance, and overall guidance through the education process. Requests for adult Advocacy cover areas such as adult day programs, medical/health related problems, child abuse, food, shelter, clothing, money management, special offenders issues, benefits, legal rights, emotional support, wills and trusts, and residential programs. In some cases the requests may overlap. The above is not an all inclusive list.
