General Information
Description of ServiceIndividuals who get food stamps and lost food during a power outage or flood should tell the welfare office right away. Replacement food stamps may be available, but recipients must ask within 10 days of when their food spoiled. The law allows replacement food stamps for the amount of food that was lost, up to one month’s benefits.
