General Information
Description of ProgramThe Bradford Wyoming County Literacy Program was founded in 1980 when six Friends of the Bradford County Library became the Literacy Program's first volunteer tutors. Under the direction of Fanna Proper and Joyce Strope Burgart, these tutors provided the enthusiasm to begin the program and hire a Coordinator. Sherry Spencer served as the Program Coordinator for over 30 Years before retiring in 2014. We continue to use best practices and aspire to offer the best literacy services to the residents of Bradford and Wyoming Counties.
