Description of Program
Mercer County Juvenile Advisory Council Inc. (MCJAC) helps improve services or care by providing effective recruitment, training, development, and placement of volunteers with local organizations where there are gaps or limitations in services revealed by needs assessments. The volunteers provide positive relationships to the high-risk youth who lack these roles in their lives, so that they may learn self-sufficiency skills and reach more positive outcomes for their futures.

The Citizen's Bank building does not have an elevator so there is no ADA access. Executive Director can meet elsewhere for special needs.
Volunteers must complete an application and be interviewed face to face.
After application and interview is completed, volunteers complete orientation and training while obtaining the clearances required to work with youth.
Please visit our website for applications, opportunities, and internship applications. Call, email, use our social media sites to express interest in volunteering.
Most programs require volunteers to be 21 or older, with exception of a few that allow 16-21. Call to see what opportunities are available for your age group.
