Description of Program
Trains volunteer tutors and provides free and confidential ``one on one'' tutoring for adults and teenagers who lack basic writing and/or reading skills or who want to learn English as a second language (ESL). Literacy program conducts 12 hour tutoring training workshops to train volunteers to be literacy tutors. The tutor and student meet at a time and place convenient for both parties 1-2 times per week for 2-3 hours each meeting.
