General Information
Description of ProgramRecruits, screens, trains and supervises volunteer advocates who are then appointed by the Juvenile Judge to advocate for the best interests of abused and/or neglected children. The program strives to help move children more quickly through the court system to safe, permanent placements.
Services may include:
Advocates for abused and/or neglected children involved in dependency court proceedings
Independently investigates facts of the case for the court
Makes recommendations to the court based on case facts and information gathered
Monitors court orders to ensure services are provided to and utilized by the child and family
Attends all meetings and court proceedings
