General Information
Description of ProgramProvides free legal services and advocacy to Pennsylvanians having trouble accessing publicly funded health care coverage or services. Promotes access to public health insurance programs and services for persons with disabilities, the elderly and low-income.PHLP may provide free direct representation on appeals for those who are denied or terminated from enrollment in a publicly funded healthcare program or have a service denied, reduced, or terminated.
PHLP acts as a consultant on health insurance coverage for the poor, individuals with disabilities, and the elderly, as as resource for public interest groups that serve the poor.
