Description of Program
Drop in Center that fosters social growth by providing structured social rehabilitation programming, in a safe, culturally sensitive environment, to individuals in Northampton County who are coping with or recovering from mental illness. Peer Services: certified peer specialist program and peer mentor program that provides community based services, and they assist peers in articulating goals, and determining objectives he/she needs to take in order to reach recovery goal. Teach problem solving techniques. "Reflections" Whole-Life Recovery Community: Site-based service, consumer-run program offering non-judgmental, trusting relationship where individuals can explore new methods of dealing with personal triggers. Provides non-medical supportive approach where individuals can find hope and healing. "Peer Line": Individuals seeking a listening ear for additional support in recovery from mental illness. This program is peer-run and callers speak to individuals who have experienced the mental health recovery process who hold 3 core values: acceptance, genuineness, and empathy which will support and assist the peer-line caller. Consumer\Family Satisfaction Team (C\FST): provides valuable information to the primary contractor, behavior health managed care organization and provider network through early identification of problems and recommendations for resolution.
