Description of Program
Transportation assistance for low-income women who need to get prescribed prenatal checkups, testing appointments, postnatal checkups, and WIC appointments. Bus tickets and transfers are the normal form of assistance; cabs may be used for women with high-risk pregnancies when possible. Participating facilities where bus tickets can be obtained include: Magee Women's Hospital, UPMC Shadyside Family Health Center, Lawrenceville Family Health Center, UPMC Latterman Clinic Mckeesport - Women may also acquire bus tickets for transportation to private practitioners or other healthcare facilities.
