Description of Program
AARP Foundation SCSEP assists individuals who are interested in remaining in or re-entering the workforce through three programs:
WorkSearch Assessment is an on-line assessment tool to assist individuals with identifying work interests and skills sets, filling skill gaps and obtaining certifications. It also provides links to job opportunities by zip code. WorkSearch Assessment is available to all experienced workers.
Training Assistance Program TAP-is a community based or on-line training program for individuals interested remaining in, changing careers or re-entering the workforce. Participants in this program must be interested in obtaining a job for which there is a regional industry need. TAP is available to individuals 40 years of age or older with median incomes.
Senior Community Service Employment Service SCSEP-is a paid training programs to assists individuals with re-entering the job market. SCSEP is available to those 55 years of age and older, unemployed, and meet Dept. of Labor income guidelines.
