Description of AgencyThe Pennsylvania House elects 203 State Representatives, each serving one legislative district of approximately 60,000 people. House members serve 2-year terms, In the House, approximately 3,000 bills are introduced per session. Members consider what is best for the constituents whom they represent. They meet in committee rooms to evaluate bills, exchange views about bille with those in their own party in caucus rooms, and hear the viewpoints of their constituents in their offices, both in Washington and local offices.
Three days per week they meet in session on the House floor to move toward passage of bills.
